In 1976, our chili recipe competed at The Original Terlingua International Chili Cookoff — the most prestigious chili competition in the world.
We took second place. Out of hundreds of entries, from pitmasters and chili legends across the country, our recipe stood on that podium.
We've been putting that chili on hot dogs ever since.

What Is Terlingua?
The Original Terlingua International Chili Cookoff has been held in the remote West Texas desert since 1967. It's not a county fair competition — it's where the best chili makers in the country go to prove themselves.
